All our bags and belts are made on-demand, and it takes approximately 8-10 weeks to complete and ship an order. In the event that your order is ready earlier than expected, we will notify you by email.

This is an extract from our care guide, which we invite you to read to take better care of your RESPECT bag.

UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS

Each RESPECT bag is handwoven, resulting in unique variations in color and texture. These characteristics are not flaws but a testament to the handmade quality and natural materials used.

AVOID HEAVY LOADS

Refrain from carrying excessively heavy items to prevent deforming the bag’s shape. For example, if you use your bag to transform a computer, tablet and book, the bag is likely to be damaged more quickly and leather strips may come off.

DEALING WITH MOISTURE

If your bag gets wet, blot the water away immediately with a soft, dry cloth. Never immerse the leather in water or use artificial heat sources like radiators or hairdryers to dry it. Allow the bag to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area.

NATURAL DYE BLEEDING

Natural dyes used in our bags may bleed initially, especially with dark colors or in high humidity. To help set the dye, leave your bag in sunlight for a couple of hours. As the dyes are natural, it may take some time for them to stop bleeding. Over time and some use, the bags will develop a special used patina that in fact enhances the feel and look of your RESPECT bag.

PROTECTIVE STORAGE

Always store your bag in a dust bag when not in use. This allows air circulation and prevents mildew. Ensure the dust bag is soft and does not scratch the leather.

DELIVERY COST

The cost of shipping is displayed directly at checkout and calculated according to your country of delivery.

SHIPPING DELAY

All our bags are made to order and woven by hand. We currently need 8-10 weeks to weave a bag. As soon as it's ready, you'll receive an email with the tracking number.

If you placed your order from our Ready to Ship section, no worries — we just need 48 hours to prepare it before shipping.

Any cancellation request made after 45 calendar days after the date of confirmation of your order can not be taken into account.

Returns are the responsibility of customers and at their cost.

TAXES AND DUTIES

Orders shipped to the UK and the U.S. are sent on a duties-and-taxes-paid basis, with all applicable charges included in the shipping fees at checkout. No additional customs charges will be due upon delivery.

Orders shipped outside the EU, UK and the U.S. may be subject to import duties and taxes depending on the destination country. These charges are determined by local customs authorities and remain the responsibility of the customer unless they were already collected at checkout.

If the recipient refuses delivery of their order for any reason your package will be considered abandoned and disposed of by the shipping carrier and therefore, your order is not eligible for a refund OR if the package is returned because you refused to pay the import duties the cost of returning the parcel to our warehouse will also be deducted from the refund of your order.

Returns are the responsibility of the customer. Our return address is in Belgium and will be communicated to you at the time of the return request.

The packages must be checked by the customer within 14 days of receipt, the claims will no longer be admissible beyond this period.

Send an email to ecom@respectbags.com within 14 days of receipt of the goods to request a return with the following information in the email: Name, order number, reference the product(s) to be returned.

The returned product(s) must be new, unused and in a box perfectly intact, any product returned unpackaged will be refused or will be subject to a 9€ withholding on the refund.

The customer must keep the proof of deposit and the tracking number of the package that will be given to him by the carrier. In case of loss of the package, no refund will be made without this proof of deposit. All returned products must be returned perfectly intact.

Upon receipt of the package, Respect will judge the perfect condition of the returned goods. No return will be accepted if the returned products have been visibly used or damaged by the customer and that this use or damage makes the products unfit for sale. If the return is refused by Respect, the products will then be returned to the customer at the expense of Respect without the customer being able to demand any compensation or right to reimbursement.

The refunding of the returns will be made subject to compliance with these conditions of return, Respect will proceed to the refunding of the returned products within 15 days following the reinstatement in stock of the goods
