How to care for your RESPECT bag
Care Guide
Full-grain leather asks for very little. Keep it dry, keep it out of the sun when you are not using it, and let it live. What follows is everything else.

01
Everyday
- Wipe with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust.
- Avoid perfume, hand cream and sanitiser on the leather — alcohol lifts colour.
- Rotate bags if you can; leather likes to rest.

02
Water & stains
- If the bag gets wet, blot with a dry cloth and let it dry naturally, away from heat and sun.
- Light marks often fade into the patina within a few weeks. Do not scrub.
- For oil stains, dust with talc, leave overnight and brush off gently.

03
Storage
- Store in the supplied cotton dust bag, stuffed loosely with tissue.
- Never in plastic — leather needs to breathe.
- Keep straps unbuckled and unhooked to avoid stress marks.

04
Conditioning
- Once or twice a year, apply a colourless leather balm sparingly with a soft cloth.
- Test on the base first — conditioners darken vegetable-tanned leather slightly.
- Safari and Patina finishes will darken most; this is intended.

05
