The process
Five steps.
Six to eight weeks.
Quality takes time. Every RESPECT bag is handcrafted with precision, using minimal reinforcement to preserve the natural feel of the leather. We source only premium full-grain hides, soft, slouchy, and 100% natural. No synthetics, no compromise. Our leather is biodegradable by nature, returning to the earth when its long life eventually ends. It ages with you, developing grain and character over time — because sustainable design isn't about disposability, it's about durability.

The Hide
We source only premium full-grain hides — the outermost layer of the skin, left whole, with every mark of a natural life intact. Nothing is sanded away or corrected.

The Tanning
Vegetable-tanned in the way our tannery has worked since 1974: slowly, with tree bark and time. The leather stays biodegradable by nature.

The Pattern
Each shape is drawn to use the hide with as few seams as possible. Minimal reinforcement preserves the natural drape and hand of the leather.

The Stitch
Hand-cut, saddle-stitched with waxed linen thread, edges burnished by hand. Brass hardware is added only where the design cannot do without it.

The Wait
Made on demand in the atelier. Six to eight weeks from order to dispatch — because quality takes time.
